Guess who stayed up until 10:25 am finishing this for you. It was me.
Part 2/12 of this collection: [link] The full roster (since I never did finish): [link]
My rationale: General: Terezi uses the Pokémon she finds taste the best. She's particularly fond of toying with opponents and using tactics along with sheer force. Terezi as a Cooltrainer/May: I should mention that the trainer types aren't all going to be significant ones. Terezi is a Cooltrainer because not only does it fit perfectly, it also fits her flarping outfit perfectly. Bits of May's costume were also added in, since she has practically the same outfit as the cooltrainers. Love Ball: Reflective of her flirtaceous attitude. It's also covered in party seals, because it is Rainbow Rumpus Party Balls. PYR4LSP1T3 (Charizard. Yes she names hers): I shouldn't need to explain this choice. I was tempted to make him white like Pyralspite (or even use his shiny colour scheme, since it's reminiscent of Karkat), but then I realised that orange made him taste like an orange creamsicle (WH4T K1ND OF 4WFUL TR41N3R WOULDNT CHOOS3 TH3 OR4NG3 CR34MS1CL3S FL4VOR3D ST4RT3R). H1S HONOR4BL3 L1CKY (Lickylicky): Again, an obvious choice. I picked Lickylicky over Lickitung since he Terezi would teach it Rollout (Acrobatic Fucking Pirouette) and it also kind of looks like it's wearing a judge outfit (I realise it's a bib and baby curl but still). I was also tempted to change it to a shiny so I could call it Doctor Honeytongue, but cotton candy flavour seemed just as good (he could also be Professor Pucefoot, come to think of it). INSP3CTOR GR4P3CL4W (Sableye): The only Pokémon I could find that could properly convey Terezi's whole red eye element. Not much else need be said. LORD CAEGAR (Bronzor): Yes I replaced Garchomp. Bronzor is named after Terezi's coin (it was the closest Pokémon to a coin I could find). I was also inspired by the mind filaments from Terezi's Seer abilities. I was also missing a Psychic Pokémon in her roster. CONST4BL3 W4T3RM3LONW1NGS (Flygon): A dragon with red eye-covers. Again, no-brainer. CH1EF B3RRYBREATH (Salamence): Terezi sure likes her dragons! Given its colour scheme, it was an easy choice.
In the Box (runner up team members): -Dragonite: Lost out to Salamence for the flying dragon. Salamence simply tasted better. -Garchomp: Mainly because of its colour scheme and those teeth of its. Replaced by Bronzor when the Seer of Mind's power came to light (in addition to the lack of a coin-based Pokémon). -Probopass (or Nosepass): Terezi already had team members for sight and taste, so I thought one for smell would be redundant.
And as for the Easter eggs. I'll leave those for you guys to find.
Terezi belongs to Hussie. Nintendo owns Pokémon. Last I checked, I was neither of these two parties, and so my claim is only to the art.
Wow it was 10:25(am) when I started writing this, and now it's 11:15(am). Sorry for the wall of text, but I'm too tired to bother editing it. Good night.
Next up is Kanaya, but this time since it will be a while (I'll be away in Québec City for a week), I'm going to do a slightly different preview from the last one. I'll put it up tomorrow (tonight). Here's the preview (hehehe): [link]
Awweh <3 You know, I probably would have used one of Deino's evolutionary family if I were doing this, but you know what, I actually like these better. Hmm.
Thanks! Hm yes, had I included the later generation it's quite likely that I would have used one of those as well. Whatever is more apt at maintaining the structural integrity of your seafaring vessel, I suppose.
Someone makes her with Salamence fucking god
Given its colour scheme, I'm surprised it's not a more popular combination.
Granted, Deino from the later gens is blind, but still...
I guess Deino AND Salamence are great, but yeah
But alas, there's more than one...
